The output of my studio thesis – redesign of a book called Zůstaňte s námi by Marek Šindelka, follows to the theoretical section titled Collage in contemporary Czech illustration and brings up the know-how of said issue. This fictional redesigned story book by contemporary Czech author deals with the current possibilities of the collage technique, its practical application in the field of graphic design and strives for its reconnection with modern Czech books.

Applications Alice is subtitled Application Elegantly Formating Books automatically. I think this subtitle, where each word begins with the letter of the name Alice (in czech), expresses the function of application quite clearly :) Try it with it too. If you choose to use Alice, everything what you need to know, you will discover during the process itself. Alice is actually a nice assistant who will help to you with everything. Simple advices will lead you to through the process. It guides you through five steps - just enter a few details, upload the text as it is (like Word) and at the end of prosecc you can download the publication formatted and ready to print. Application automatically did everything for you. You do not need any graphic designer or paid any graphic software. It takes you about 30 minutes. Application is running on the web, so it is not necessary any installation.
Draft of measures for sales promotion of Třebíč daily newspaper

On the basis of a performed research, the master's thesis offers suitable measures, which should lead to more efficient sales of Třebíč daily newspaper. The theoretical knowledge is applied to a real situation of the chosen company. The practical part then analyses the results of the performed marketing research and presents arising proposals.
Reception and rating of Czech video games in gaming magazine Level

This bachelor thesis is devoted to the reception of video games developed by studios residing in the Czech republic through reviews published in the video game magazine Level since the foundation of the magazine in the 1995. Theoretical part describes basic contexts of the development of gaming journalism with the emphasis on the Czech scene, briefly explains the foundation and the history of Level and provides complete list of all reviews of Czech video games in up to now published issues. Research part examines the aspects of 10 picked individual texts, emphasizing the changes during years. Thesis aims to find out how and to what extent can reception of individual games be influenced by the fact, that they were developed in the Czech Republic, and how these aspects of reception change from the 1995 to these days. Choice of examined texts reflects the intention to study changes over the time and individual reviews are divided by approximately stable intervals.
The Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic in the sports, economy and marketing sphere

Title: The Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic in the sports, economy and marketing sphere Objectives: The main aim of this work is to analyse all the available documents of all the individual Children and Youth Olympics in the Czech Republic from 2003 to 2013 in the sports, economy and marketing sphere. Methods: Dissertation is divided into three parts based on data from relevant Czech Olympic Comittee documents. The first part is primarily about sport and analyses success of the Children and Youth Olympics athletes at International Games. The second part focuses on budget of particulars Games. And the third part contains analysis of marketing support - partnership, media support, merchandising and information leaflets. Results: We can observe positive results at all three areas - sports, economy and marketing. The Children and Youth Olympics s based on strong platform that helps to spread olympic idea among young people in the Czech Republic. Proposals and recommendations for future Games are based on detailed analysis and evaluation of all three parts. Children's Books and Media Convergence

This thesis focuses on the children's literature and the cross-medial approach to storytelling for children. The topic is seen in the context of the Czech Republic and the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The aim of this thesis is to understand the relation between the children's literature and the cross-platform approach to the children's story from the point of view and an experience of book publishers, professionals on the children's media and the media in the life of children and children themselves. Within the frame of the cross-national social research was used the method of in-depth interviews with the adult participants and the method of focus groups with the children. According to the results of the research is neither the market environment nor the attitude of the society in the Czech Republic or Switzerland ideal for creating the children's cross-media contents, but the situation is slowly changing and it is possible that the share of the cross-platform contents created for children by the local authors will increase in the future.
Meander Publishing House and Media Reflection of Edition Blue Elephant

This Master Thesis is about Meander publishing house and media reflection of three choosen titles from edition Blue Elephant. Theoretical part of this thesis introduces the development of publishing houses after the fall of communism in 1989, the development of the literature for children and youth, phenomenon of bilderbuch and the change of reading habits and reader's environment. The analytical part introduces the Meander publishing house and its edition Blue Elephant. Key artist for this edition is Petr Nikl, who is Meander's court artist as well. The analysis of media was performed on titles Záhádky by Petr Nikl, Jělěňovití by Petr Nikl and The Little's Man Great Journey by Lenka Uhlířová and Jiří Stach. The analysed media are literary and cultural magazines, newspapers and digital media.
